In the Spring of 2017, the Arapahoe County Clerk & Recorder's office approached OMF with a need for a new logo and website before election season. As a regular web and video services client here at OMF, we were excited to team up with Arapahoe County again to develop a tool that was just right for them.

The previous Arapahoe Votes website was outdated and difficult to edit for the staff. Additionally, the logo wasn't unique to the Arapahoe County Clerk & Recorder election division. We went through a full Discovery, Design and Actualization process to ensure the site met the unique needs of Arapahoe County residents, volunteers, judges and more. Another exciting aspect of the project was the design and build of a custom API to update total registered voters on the Arapahoe Votes homepage. A large part of the project was ensuring voters have an easy way to track their ballot, voting status, and find their elected officials based on their district. We designed a custom Voter Lookup Tool that allows any Arapahoe County resident the ability to check their voting status and learn who their current national, state and local representatives are.

After a few iterations, we hit the mark on the new Arapahoe Votes logo; it will appear on the website, all voting collateral, ballot boxes and more. The website was launched with plenty of time to populate before the busy election season. Arapahoe Votes staff were trained to keep the website up to date with fresh copy, new pages as needed, new stories, media and important calendar dates to keep the public aware of upcoming deadlines and events.
